Life Enriching Activities
We plan and participate in a broad range of programs and activites. Our activities coordinator plans and implements activities at requests by residents, families, staff, and volunteers. Activities are posted on a calendar of events that is available to each resident.
Some Activites our Residents Enjoy!
Music is a central theme at Rosewood and on any day you may hear oldies, classical, inspirational, or holiday favorites. Regular sing-a-longs, mini concerts, and local artists keep the baby grand piano busy.
Sharing the daily news while overlooking the lush perennial gardens. The spacious covered porch with wicker furniture and tall green plants is a favorite summertime place for families and friends to sip lemonade and reminisce.
Residents, families and staff gathered together to celebrate, sing, laugh, and enjoy the holiday season. We love to have parties—Halloween costume, holiday tree-trimming, cookie exchange, new year's eve(ning), Mother's Day tea, summertime bash, and of course birthdays. Any opportunity to celebrate is a good reason for a party.
Mmmm... anyone want a cookie? Folding laundry, baking cookies, or setting the dinner table are just a few of the activities of daily living that enrich the lives of our capable residents.
Everyone enjoys a good round of Bingo. Word games, board games, card games, and puzzles help to challenge residents at every level. More physical activities include indoor putt-putt, living room bowling, beach ball tossing, chair aerobics, and dancing.
Birthdays are a big deal and we encourage families to be involved. Most of all we like to listen to the stories that our residents like to tell. Our one-on-one or small group discussions bring out the best in our residents.
This is Rosewood's official mascot, greeter of guests and all around lover-of-people. Mabelle is also a certified pet therapy dog for all of our residents.
Three generations of witches for Halloween.
